A happy pony, means a happy girl. We had fun and games growing up on the farm. There were always some pranks being played out somewhere. Some of our favourite pranks were played against our visitors and neighbours alike. We were very experienced young horse riders, and loved doing tricks on our ponies. Riding back to front and pretending it was normal used to raise quite a few eyebrows, and phone calls to our parents. However since our parents did not see what we were up to, and had no proof we could only raise our own eyebrows in return. Adding a few cluck, clucks and mumbling nosy neighbours was our response. God forbid, we could not tell a lie.
We loved doing circus tricks, as in jumping on and off our ponies as they cantered around the paddock, in full view of all to see. Of course we only indulged this behaviour when we knew our parents were otherwise engaged.
I decided that I needed to provide a visual picture of some of our pranks. I brought out the pencil and paper and did that drawing today. It is my first cartoon style, I hope you enjoy it.
